CONSTANT QUALITY CONTROL
We carry out a wide range of tests in order to analyse and understand physical and mechanical features of our yarns.
HANKS
Before entering the productive process, our silk hanks undergo a meticulous quality control.
WINDING
The yarn, to be processed, is transferred from the hank to the bobbin.
DOUBLING
In this step, prior to twisting, we double two or more parallel plies together.
TWISTING
In this phase, the yarn is given a define twist, which determines its features.
STEAMING
Steam fixes the yarn twist.
CONING
In this phase, we clear the yarn as to eliminate eventual defects.
PACKAGING
Cones undergo a final strict quality control before being sent out to customers.
An eco-friendly
productive path_
The environmental issue showed more and more criticalities over the last years; this is why we increased our efforts and dedication towards sustainability. In the end, we succeeded in creating a fully sustainable silk productive process, obtaining as well the most important international certifications related to this matter. When we produce our silk yarns, we use the sustainable energy derived our photovoltaic panels; as concerns packaging, we only use Upcycling materials.
Quality control through
the whole supply chain_
We can ensure a high quality of our silk yarns thanks to well-established, tight business relationships with different raw material producers and to the implementation of a strict quality control running throughout the whole supply chain. We set up a procedure granting constant control: from cocoon selection and purchase up to the arrival of the yarn in our production plants, where it is tested and analysed once again before being processed.
